End Date/Time: Saturday, April 03, 2010 3:00 PM
Recurring Event: One time event

Montalba Community Open House – approx. 8mi .north on hwy 19 - Local author Buffi Becraft Woodall, who writes paranormal fantasy romance books, will be signing her books. Her published books are Creature Comforts; Conjuring Cal; Making Tracks; Weremones; PMSings...
The Montalba community will host an Open House during all three weekends of the 2010 Dogwood Trails. Refreshments will be served at the Montalba Chapel, formerly the Montalba United Methodist Church, which is located in the center of the community on Highway 19. The historic building was donated to the Montalba Community Improvement Association after the Church ceased operations in 2007. The building was moved from Pace's Chapel, a community located about two miles north of the Montalba community, in the early 1900's by placing logs under the structure and slowly rolling the church building to its present location. In the 1970's, Montalba United Methodist Church members acquired and installed beautiful stain glass windows from a church in Kemp, Texas, and these beautiful windows, plus the original curved pews, contribute to the Community's priceless treasure. Come and enjoy our refreshments, as well as meet some of our interesting authors, in our historic building. For more information, you may call 903-549-2076 or 905-549-2383 or 903-729-4007.
